Hi,
First off, thank you for the english version of ZBXE. This is probably the best free website software package I have seen. It's perfect for a non-programmer like me.
I have finally installed the software and my site is now live. I did run into a problem where my site had to be loaded as www.nerdmojo.com/zbxe because the software unarchived itself into zbxe folder initially. I tried the method proposed by another user on the ZBXE Korean site where typing www.nerdmojo.com gets forwarded to www.nerdmojo.com/zbxe. However, the forwarding process takes too long and I didn't like "zbxe" being visible on the URL so I transferred all files and subfolders in the zbxe folder to the root directory. Interestingly, the site was running without making any adjustments in the code. The only thing I changed was the Homepage URL in the layout setting.
After making the change, I noticed that loading the website is now taking longer time than usual. I'm not sure what exactly happened but is there something else that I need to do to make the site load faster? Sorry for the lengthy post, but I would appreciate your help.
Thanks,

Thank you a lot.
As I am one of the users, I really appreciate that so many members are doing such great things for zbXE. They are giving so much effort to develop it and to make various widgets, modules and other relating programs to stand zbXE up.
I hope all the user of zbXE would feel free, enjoy to use and satisfy its performance. At the same time, I wish that zbXE would be recognized in world wide soon.
Thank you again.
Regarding your concern, I am thinking the loading time is depend on your server. Excuse me I am not a expert in it but I am giving you some idea base on my experience. Perhaps it is not applicable on your side. Anyway I am running two sites in different hosting server as I noticed that the one site seems very fast to load the page although there are a lot of images on the page while the other site has less image but still very slow to load.
I can see the comparison on each hosting server. There are some users encountering similar case with yours.
If the case is on zbXE side i can say that it will be solved in new version. Updating all new features and solving the bugs are done amazingly in such a short time.

what bradley1 recommended seems to have worked. as far as server goes, it probably isn't an issue because i use godaddy and my other sites seem to load up fine without any problems.
from biz point of view, what zbxe needs is a marketing person to start charging people for this package. i see tons of places that charge money for web packages far inferior to what zb offers. anyways, keep up the good work... thanks again.

this sounds pretty dumb but the "speed pick up" that i noticed after re-creating the cache was actually due to reloading the website on the same browser. i'm using safari on my pc right now and it takes about 10 seconds for the site to load up initially then the speed picks up when i reload it because the address is saved in the cache memory until i close the browser. i was wondering if there is anything that i can show someone (e.g. my root directory on the host server or snap shot of any files) to identify the problem.
i built another site using zbxe and this one seems to be loading up faster even though it is set up that the site gets forwarded to domain.com/zbxe url. any help would be much appreciated.
thanks,

Hi,
For me, it takes 5-7 seconds for the main page of your site (nerdmojo.com).
Currently I don't have the safari browser, thus I couldn't check if it takes longer with Safari.
Well, I don't think that it is slow due to the trasnfer to the root directory.
Anyhow, the newest version might be faster than older version. If you use older version than 1.0.2, please upgrade zbXE :)
Thanks,
Seungyeop
